These days between Christmas and New Year's are delightful because: I can sleep in without guilt, work on picture puzzles throughout the day, nibble on goodies (no calories until January 1), spend time with hubby, play with grandchildren, play games throughout the day, laugh over silly things, throw away or give away things we don't need, clean the sewing room in preparation of 2010 projects, read the newspaper, listen to Christmas music (Yes, still), prepare new calendars, and plan resolutions. I decided I will make new resolutions on the first of each month, not just for the year. Shorter term resolutions will have a better chance of being kept. I also love the idea from the newspaper of shredding everything you don't want from 2009--old bills, sorrows, failures, etc. I think I may have a few of those too.
I am also organizing materials to help me study the Old Testament. This is my least understood area and I hope to gain an appreciation in my scripture study this year. That will be my resolution for the year I guess. I'm so thankful for the blessings I have. Gratitude is the thing that teaches me how many blessings I really have. I have the most wonderful family and friends that make getting up everyday a joy. Happy New Year to you all!!!

What a wonderful reading. You have great ideas. I'm going to follow your lead and clean out my sewing room so that I will room to walk in and not bump into one thing. That is my first resolution to accomplish tomorrow. Thanks for your good ideas.
