We were up early and took a beautiful drive to Payson to hear our sister-in-law report on her mission to Nauvoo. There was a lovely spirit and good lessons to learn. She told of a lady who came into Lands and Records While she was working there. She was positive her ancestors had lived in Nauvoo, but couldn't find any information. Georgia tried to help her get started on a computer. After awhile the lady came back, almost in tears, saying she just couldn't find her. There was an elder at the other computer working on his genealogy. He walked over and asked the name she was looking for. When she said the name his eyes opened wide in surprise. "She is my relative too." He said he had stories, journals, graphs, and history that he would be willing to share with her. He took her name and address so he could get all the info to her. Just coincidence? Georgia called it one of the Nauvoo miracles--and said she saw many while she served there.
We also enjoyed our home ward meetings today. There are some awesome members that we learn from each week. We were reminded that apathy can steal our testimonies if we are not vigilant. I have been reorganizing my plans for the week so that I have my priorities straight. We are also looking forward to some family time tonight. Beautiful, busy, blessed day.
